“My brothers! A man prays 2 rak’ah in the (last) 10 of Ramadaan, & another prays 2 rak’ah in the (first) 10 of Dhil-Hijjah - which one of them is better? The second or the first?
The second (is better)!
This is strange to the common folk, but it is not strange to the People of Knowledge.
And
for this I say: it is obligatory upon the People of Knowledge to
clarify to the public that righteous actions in the (first) 10 (days)
of Dhil-Hijjah is more beloved to Allaah than actions in any other time.
And this is unknown to the common (people) because they [the People of Knowledge] don’t mention it, except for a few.
These days, increase in good, righteous deeds (in them)!
Increase in recitation of the Qur’aan in them!
Increase in Dhikr in them!
Increase in Sadaqah in them!
Fast it’s days!
For indeed there are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allaah than these 10 days!”
