From the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ & the Companions if 'Eed & Jumu'ah fall on the same day

From the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ  & his Companions if 'Eed & Jumu'ah fall on the same day

Extracted from the article  سنة النبي ﷺوصحابته إذا اجتمع العيد والجمعة رخصوا في الجمعة   by the noble Shaykh Abu 'Uthmaan Muhammad Al-'Anjaree  حفظه الله

________

-  Iyaas bin Abee Ramlah Ash-Shaamee said: “I heard a man ask Zayd bin Arqaam - رضى الله تعالى عنه - ‘Were you with the Messenger of Allaah  when two ‘Eeds fell on the same day (‘Eed & Jumu’ah)?’ He said: ‘Yes.’  (The man) said: ‘So what did he do?’  (Zayd) said: ‘He prayed the ‘Eed prayer, then he granted a concession regarding praying the Jumu’ah prayer, then he said:  “Whoever wishes to pray (the Jumu’ah prayer), then let him pray (it).” 1

-  Ibn 'Umar  رضى الله تعالى عنهما  said:  "Two ‘Eeds came together at the time of the Messenger of Allaah ,  so he led the people in (the 'Eed) prayer, then he said: “Whoever wishes to come to the Jumu'ah (prayer), then let him come, & whoever wishes to stay behind, then let him stay behind.’”  2

 -  ‘Alee bin Abee Taalib  رضى الله تعالى عنه  said when two ‘Eeds (‘Eed & Jumu’ah) coincided on the same day: “Whoever wants to pray them both, then let him pray (them), & whoever wants to sit, then let him sit.”  Sufyaan (Ath-Thawree) said:  “Meaning, he sits in his house (& does not go out to pray Jumu’ah).”  3

“We are upon Clarity” - Shaykh Muhammad ‘Uthmaan Al-‘Anjaree

***
From Allaah’s blessings & favors upon us is that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم left us upon the path of Clarity, as (comes) in his saying (صلى الله عليه وسلم):
“Indeed I left you upon Baydaa’ (clear guidance), it’s night is
like it’s day (in it’s clarity),  & no one deviates from it after me
except that he is destroyed.”  [1]

And the Lord of Might & Power جلّ وعلا  guaranteed the Ummah of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم the protection & preservation of His Book, when He – the Most High – said:
“Indeed it is We Who sent down the Dhikr [the Qur’aan],
& it is Us Who will preserve & protect it.” [Al-Hijr (15):9]

So this tremendous blessing was bestowed by Al-Mawlaa [Allaah] so the Deen, with it’s nusoos (texts) & it’s ahkaam (rulings), remains far & removed from deviation, distortion, & alternation, & He increased us in His Favor & Blessings - سبحانه – as (comes) in the hadeeth of Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم with his saying:
“Indeed Allaah will raise up for this Ummah at the end of every
one hundred years those who will revive & renew the affairs of
their Deen for them.”  [2]

And tajdeed (revival & renewal) here means the removal of bid’a & the innovated desires, & reviving & purifying the guidance of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم from the deviation & distortion of those who go beyond bounds, & the false interpretations of the liars.

And the Favor of Allaah upon us is not restricted to what was mentioned previously.  Rather he صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“There will not cease to be a group from my Ummah who are
manifest & apparent (upon the Haqq).  They will not be harmed
by those who abandon & forsake them, nor those who openly
oppose them, up until the command of Allaah comes & they are
firmly upon that.”

So this is a Divine guarantee of a group of the ‘Ulamaa’ remaining manifest & clear for the Ummah, those who adhere to the Book of Allaah & the guidance of His Prophet.  And by that, the ‘Aqeedah of Ahlul-Haqq remains & is permanent until Yawmul-Qiyaamah, by Divine protection & decree that Allaah has decreed (to come about).

And indeed we have seen – affirming the truthfulness of that – a man from the remnants of the Salafus-Saalihرحمهم الله - & he is the ‘Allaamah Al-Albaanee, who made easy for all of the Ummah to distinguish the authentic hadeeth from the weak.  And what is amazing is that he [was] one man, a non-‘arab, who had no one to support or aid him except Allaah, he was able, through working by himself, to serve the Ummah with a tremendous service in reviving their Deen.  Rather he was able to do what the [innovated] Islaamic political groups & parties could not do, with all of their resources & capabilities.

So this is a mercy from Allaah’s Mercies towards this Ummah, & it is upon us to show gratitude & gratefulness for the blessings & bounties (He has favored us with).”

He claimed: This is Zuhd !! - Shaykh Muhammad Al-'Anjaree

Bismillah Ar Rahmaan Ar Raheem

Dear respected Brothers,

I'd like to remind myself and the brothers about the importance of sticking to the Sunnah of Muhammad (ﷺ) and the Sunnah of his companions, at the heads of them Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthmaan. They were the best of mankind after the Prophets and Messengers. And they were the best of the people in Zuhd, in Aqeedah, Tawheed and they are the best.  And we find that all of them were people of business & trade & were Strong and tough workers & were better than the rest of the Prophet's companions with the consensus of the Muslims.
And the Prophet (ﷺ) said : "The Qawee(strong) believer is more beloved to Allaah than the one who is weak...and in both of them is good."  And the Khulafa Ar Rashideen are the strongest from the companions without doubt.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said : "Take as role models (to follow) those two that come after me!" Then he pointed to Aboo Bakr & 'Umar.

And the Prophet (ﷺ) said "Upon you is to follow my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Khulafa Ar Rashideen" (AlAqwiya The people of upper hand -The Strong ones)

And to clarify what we have mentioned above we have this benefit that:
The Prophet (ﷺ) saw 'Umar one day wearing a white thawb, & asked 'Umar: "Is this a new thawb you're wearing or an old one that you washed?" 'Umar replied: "It is an old one." So the Prophet (ﷺ)  told him:
‎«الْبَسْ جَدِيدًا، وَعِشْ حَمِيدًا، وَمُتْ شَهِيدًا»
"Wear something new, live a respectful life and die the death of a Martyr."
[Ibn Maajah, Ahmad. Declared saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaanee]

And Abu Nadrah said: When any of the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) put on a new garment, he was told: 'May you wear it out and may Allah give you another in its place.'
Narrated by Aboo Dawood and authenticated by Ibn Hajar.

And now we want to take a look at our scholars understanding of Zuhd:
Like the scholar Sufyaan ath-Thawree said: "Zuhd in this world is not in eating dry food and not in wearing rough clothing, indeed Zuhd in this world is only: not expecting to live long (preparing for death)"

And like Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah said :  "And it has come about with many from the Later generations that they couple poverty with the meanings of Zuhd!
And Zuhd ( Abstinence ) could be with the rich or could be with the poor.
And you find from the Prophets and some of companions who were people of Zuhd who had with them a lot of riches...."

And here is an important benefit that we'd like to highlight to our Sunnee Brothers and Sisters:
Look at all of the other religions and sects.  And it's clearly seen in the jews and christians that the affair of the people of knowledge is such that they are lazy & don't have to earn money and if not daily, constantly asking the people for money. Yes Lazy & proud in their laziness and they love it & they make it a part of their religion.  As Allaah سبحانه و تعالى said in the Quran : 'Rahbaniyyah which they created for themselves, we did not prescribe for them'. Verse 27 surat Alhadeed.  And as in the statement of the Prophet (ﷺ) in the musnad of Imaam Ahmad:  'There is no Rahbaniyyah in Islaam.'
The people pay them to seclude themselves from the worldly lives. And they wear clothes that gives a certain message to the people to show their Rahbaniyya.

So it upon us is to follow the way of the companions like Abu Bakr , Umar , Uthmaan & Ali and all the rest of the companions of Muhammad (ﷺ).

Like Imaam Ahmad said : Usool us Sunnah with us is:   To hold on firm to the way of the companions of Muhammad (ﷺ) and take them as our role models.

Not a Defense of the noble Shaykh, Aboo ‘Uthmaan Muhammad bin ‘Uthmaan al-‘Anjaree, but rather a defense of the Carriers of the Salafee Manhaj - Ash-Shaykh (Dr.) Ahmad bin ‘Umar Baazmool

http://atheri.blogspot.com/2014/08/blog-post.html

بســم الله الرحمــن الرحيــم

Verily All praise is due to Allaah, we praise Him, we seek His help, & we seek His forgiveness.  And we seek refuge in Allaah from the evil of our own selves & our own evil actions.  Whomever Allaah guides, none can lead astray, & whomever Allaah leads astray there is none that can guide him aright.  And I bear witness that nothing has the right to be worshipped in truth except Allaah, Alone without partner, & I bear witness that Muhammad is His ‘Abd & His Messenger.  Indeed the most truthful of speech is the Speech of Allaah, & the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad.  And the most evil of affairs are the newly-invented affairs, & every newly-invented affair is a bid’ah, & every bid’ah is misguidance & going astray, & every misguidance & going astray is in the Fire.

To proceed:

So from the blessings of Allaah upon the student of knowledge is that the People of Knowledge praise him & mention his virtue & his trustworthiness, & his status in regards to the Sunnah & his firmness upon it.

So how about if the one giving the praise is the carrier of the banner of Jarh wat-Ta’deel without dispute !  And an Imaam of the People of Tawheed & Sunnah without debate !!

And he is our father, the Imaam, the ‘Aalim ar-Rabbaanee (the scholar who cultivates & nurtures the people upon the Haqq), the Salafee, the carrier of the banner of Jarh wat-Ta’deel [1] by testification of the major Imaams, & from them Al-Albaanee– may Allaah have mercy upon all of them.

And from those whom our Shaykh, the Imaam, Rabee’ bin Haadee ‘Umayr al-Madkhalee has  recommended & praised  - حفظه الله تعالى – is: our noble brother, the Salafee, the striver, the nurturer, Aboo ‘Uthmaan Muhammad bin ‘Uthmaan al-‘Anjaree – حفظه الله تعالى  - in spite of the humiliation of the people of jealousy, bid’a, ahwaa’ wad-dalaal  (innovation, desires, & misguidance)

And from what is astonishing & strange is that some of the insignificant ones from the Haddaadiyyah & the Mumayyi’ah attempt to disparage & slander the noble Shaykh, the striver, Muhammad al-‘Anjaree!

In His Highness & Loftiness, Allaah witnesses that I did not write this column in defense of the person of our brother, Shaykh Aboo ‘Uthmaan Muhammad ‘Uthmaan al-‘Anjaree, rather (I wrote it) in defense of the carriers of the Salafee manhaj !

And here are some of the words of the Imaam Rabee’ bin Haadee ‘Umayr al-Madkhalee in praise of ash-Shaykh Muhammad al-‘Anjaree حفظه الله تعالى:

The Imaam Rabee’ al-Madkhalee حفظه الله تعالى said:
“Indeed I do not know about these two men – Muhammad al-‘Anjaree & Ahmad as-Subay’ee – I do not know about them except that they are from the notable and distinguished of the Salafees [2] & from the most virtuous of them !
And I do not know of them that they incline towards Faalih (al-Harbee) & not towards other than him from those who oppose the Salafee manhaj!!!
We know of them their firmness upon the Sunnah,  إن شاء الله...
Everything that is said against them is baatil (falsehood & futility) & is wrong, so the one who says the like of this speech must fear Allaah.”

And I was commenting on the speech of our Shaykh, the Imaam Rabee’ al-Madkhalee, on the date of 21 Jan 2009, & from what I said in it was:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

May Allaah reward with goodness our Shaykh, the carrier of the banner of Jarh wat-Ta’deel in this time with knowledge, forbearance, gentleness, wisdom, & moderation in his praise of the noble Shaykh Muhammad al-‘Anjaree & the noble Shaykh Ahmad as-Subay’ee, both of whom:

  • make the Haqq known openly

  • guide & direct the creation

  • defend the Salafee manhaj

  • clarify the condition of some of those in opposition to the manhaj of the Salafus-Saalih.

(And this is) from what arouses anger in the hearts of those in opposition to the manhaj of the Salafus-Saalih & causes their tongues to chirp with slander, defamation, & criticism, lying & speaking vilely against the noble Shaykh Muhammad al-‘Anjaree & the noble Shaykh Ahmad as-Subay’ee.

And from this tazkiyyah are a number of benefits:

The first benefit:
Refutation of those who level accusations against the Salafee Mashaayikh, that they don’t have anything except disparaging & criticizing, & that they don’t make recommendations of anyone, to the point of (saying) that they do not know anything except knowledge of at-Tajreeh (disparaging people) without at-Ta’deel (any praise for people).

The Second benefit:
That giving tazkiyyah for people is only built upon their actions & statements which are in agreement with the Salaf, in ‘Aqeedah & manhaj, truthfulness & justice, & just as our compassionate father Rabee’ al-Madkhalee said:  “Indeed a persons actions are what stand as a recommendation for him, & they are what prove his honesty from his dishonesty.”

The Third benefit:
That the two respected Shaykhs Muhammad al-‘Anjaree & Ahmad as-Subay’ee are from the Mashaayikh whom knowledge is to be taken from and are referred back to, due to what they possess from straight, correct methodology, & sound knowledge.

The Fourth benefit:
That whoever slanders & attacks their manhaj, then he is more deserving of being spoken against, because the one who attacks & disparages is in contradiction to what they both have from adherence to the manhaj of the Salafus-Saalih.

The Fifth benefit:
That the Shaykh recommended them both & testified that they are from those who are firm upon the manhaj. And in this is an indication towards the refutation of whoever obtains a tazkiyyah from an ‘aalim that he is salafee, then (after that) he opposes the Salafee manhaj & uses the tazkiyyah of the ‘Aalim (as a proof for himself). And the miskeen who doesn’t know, he does not understand that the tazkiyyah of the ‘Aalim for (that person) was only in relation to his adherence to the manhaj of the Salaf, so if he opposes & contradicts the manhaj of the Salaf, then the tazkiyyah does not apply to him.

The Sixth benefit:
That the one who is firm upon the Salafee manhaj, the one who calls to it & spreads it, he is from the pure, true Salafees.  And in this is a refutation of the one who wants to enter into Salafiyyah everyone who claims (to be Salafee).  So the Salafiyoon are the People of Strangeness (Ghurbah) & they are the aided, saved sect upon the Haqq; they are not harmed by those who oppose them, nor by those who forsake & abandon aiding & supporting them.
And for that, whoever makes Salafiyyah a methodology that is vast & inclusive, whoever claims Salafiyyah enters into it (with the banner) “all are Salafees”, even if he was one who opposes the manhaj of the Salaf, then indeed he has invented a lie & falsehood against the Salafus-Saalih & their trustworthy, sincerely advising manhaj.

And finally:
So I say to the Mashaayikh as-Salafiyeen, Jazaakum Allaahu khayran for your efforts towards the Da’watus-Salafiyyah & in spreading knowledge, & in refuting those in opposition.
And congratulations to the two, noble Shaykhs for the tazkiyyah of the carrier of Jarh wat-Ta’deel, our Shaykh Rabee’ al-Madkhalee for them.... [end]

Going back to the beginning:
And from the tazkiyyah of the Imaam Rabee’ al-Madkhalee for Shaykh Muhammad al-‘Anjaree, is the tazkiyyah that took place on the day of al-Khamees (Thursday), the night of Jumu’ah, coinciding with the 5th of the month of Muharram, the year 1435 H, in which he said حفظه الله تعالى:

“Knowledge is taken – may Allaah bless you – from Muhammad al-‘Anjaree, &  Khaalid ath-Thufayree & ‘Aadil Mansoor, for they are from the callers to Allaah تبارك وتعالى !  And from the strongest of the people in their Salafiyyah!
And they have striving & encouragement for the Salafees in the lands of the ‘Arabs & the non-‘Arabs!   So I advise the brothers in Kerala that they take knowledge from them. And I advise whoever speaks against them that he withhold his tongue, because this is from blocking & turning (people) away from the Path of Allaah !!!
May Allaah guide everyone to what He loves & is pleased with.”   [End]

See the article:
New Tazkiyyah from our father, al-‘Allaamah Rabee’ bin Haadee al-Madkhalee for the Mashaayikh Muhammad al-‘Anjaree, ‘Aadil Mansoor, & Khaalid ath-Thufayree  http://www.sahab.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=141004

And in conclusion:   So these are some of the the tazkiyyaat of our Shaykh & our father, the Imaam Rabee’ bin Haadee ‘Umayr al-Madkhalee for the Shaykh Muhammad bin ‘Uthmaan al-‘Anjaree ! And they are a lump in the throats of the mukhaalifeen, may Allaah not increase them in their numbers.

I ask Allaah, al-Kareem, that He reward the Mashaayikh as-Salafiyeen with the best of rewards, & that He protect them by His Protection, & care for them with His Care.

[2]  Our Shaykh Muhammad bin ‘Umar Baazmool said to me:  “I met Shaykh Muhammad al-‘Anjaree & sat with him & heard his speech & we discussed some affairs related to da’wah & knowledge-based issues, so I found him to be a virtuous man, a person of Sunnah & precise insight.  Allaah has indeed opened up affairs for him that show the deepness of his knowledge & his understanding !

The Detailed Religion (ad-Deen al-Mufassal) :::: raised as a reminder

Ash-Shaykh Aboo ‘Uthmaan Muhammad al-‘Anjaree
Transcribed & translated from a taped lecture given on 29 November, 2007
in the Kuwaiti desert area of Kabd
translated by

Aboo Sufyaan ‘Uthmaan Beecher, edited by Firaas Al-Ragom

Shaykh al-‘Anjaree (حفظه الله تعالى) said:

“I wish, here, to mention an important issue.
A man called me, so he said, ‘I want to read to you an article that was published yesterday where it speaks about obedience to the Walee al-Amr (the Muslim ruler).’ He is the one who wrote the article. So after the end (of the article), he asked, ‘What is your opinion of the article, Aboo ‘Uthmaan?’ And he is ikhwaanee, from the sons of Jam’iyyatul-Islaah al-Ijtimaa’iyyah, as though he was trying to say ‘we [ikhwaanul-Muslimeen] speak about obedience to the Walee al-Amr.’

So I said to him: The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) came with al-Mufassal (that which is detailed and specific). When the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) came, (he came) with al-Mufassal. And this is a faariq (that which distinguishes and differentiates) between the da’watul-Haqq (the da’wah of the Truth) and all of the other da’waat.
So beware, O ‘Abdullaah, of the mujmalaat (the generalities)! The mujmalaat – our da’wah is the da’watus-Salafiyyah. From the mujmalaat is seeking knowledge (talabul-‘Ilm), a general statement. From the mujmalaat is giving importance to the books of Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah. From the mujmalaat is (saying) “I am a graduate of the the Islaamic University (of al-Madeenah)”. From the mujmalaat is “Obedience to the Walee al-Amr is obligatory”. From the mujmalaat is warning against the takfeerees.
Mujmalaat! [1]

And today we hear this, isn’t that so?!
‘Abdur-Rahmaan (‘Abdul-Khaaliq) says: ‘I say: it is upon you to seek knowledge!’
Safar (al-Hawalee) says: ‘I call (the people) to seek knowledge.’ Salmaan al-‘Awdah says: ‘It is upon you to seek knowledge and to read the books of Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah.’ Then the subject matter is one!

Then how are you, O ‘Abdullaah, to differentiate?! Here is the problem!
The miskeen one, this student of knowledge, 18 years old, 19 years old, (says) ‘O akhee, this is confusing and problematic for me! This one says “seeking knowledge” (talabul-‘Ilm), and ‘Abdur-Rahmaan (‘Abdul-Khaaliq) says “seeking knowledge”, and Salmaan says “seeking knowledge”!’
The other says: “No, I read upon the Mashayikh (the Scholars)!” Salmaan says: ‘I read more than you upon the Mashayikh, jazaakallaah khayr!’
Is that not so?!
(He says:) “I am a Najdee (from Najd), and Shaykh ‘Abdul-‘Azeez bin Baaz and Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen are from Najd, I have been raised (in knowledge) with these people”.
So how do you, O student of knowledge, distinguish and separate?
The Qur’aan distinguishes and separates. The Prophet, from his names is “Faariq” (the one who distinguishes and separates between Truth and Falsehood). The Battle of Badr, what is it? What?
[the brothers answering the Shaykh]
Furqaan! [2] So then how do you differentiate? I will mention to you a statement here.

There called me, before 2 or 3 weeks, a youth studying in the Islaamic University (in al-Madeenah). So I was advising him with adherence (to the religion), to read, and taking the maadah as-Sunniyyah (subject matter derived from the Sunnah). He says, ‘Aboo ‘Uthmaan he sent me a message–, he says “I have just left a lecture, the educator, the teacher, has read and attained (the various) arts (funoon) [3]”. Whose son (is he referring to)? He is the son of an Imaam, the author of “Adwaa’ul-Bayaan”, Muhammad al-Ameen ash-Shanqeetee.’, his name is ‘Abdullaah. What does he say? He says, to the students in the Islaamic University (of al-Madeenah) look, where are you, O Shaykh ‘Abdul-‘Azeez?! Allaahu Akbar! – He (this ‘Abdullaah) says: “And what do you know? Maybe Ja'd [4] has placed his luggage in Jannah”.
[The Shaykh makes disapproving sounds]

“What do you know?” So he says: “I have attained the arts (funoon), I studied with the Mashayikh, and I completed my studies in the Islaamic University and now I teach in it. And my Mashayikh … well I am in no need of an introduction, you want to ask about my Mashayikh?! I’ll narrate to you the chain now. The supplemental sciences (the sciences of the language, Usoolul-Fiqh, etc.), and for Allaah is all praise, I teach. If you bring me a single word, I will bring ten proofs from the Qur’aan. I challenge you!”
Then what do you do now?

Look at these Aathaar (narrations of the Salaf), look at these Aathaar and you will find the distinction:
Aboo Ishaaq would not teach, or would not narrate hadeeth to a student, until he tested him. He would say: ‘Say that Zinaa is by the Qadr of Allaah.’ And if not, he would not narrate (to him). ‘Say that Zinaa is by the Qadr of Allaah.’ And if not, he would narrate (to him). ‘Say that Zinaa …’ this is an Imaam! So if the student said that, he would narrate to him. Do you see, O brothers?
So then there is what? Indeed the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) came to us with what? With al-Mufassal (detail)!

Leave the general. Enter into? The tafseel (detail)! And here is the Faariq. And here the truth becomes clear to you. For that reason the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) came with what? Al-Mufassal!
I will mention to you – this is the guidance of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) – a woman came, or, we will mention another hadeeth. A man wanted to free a slave, and he is the sahaabee Mu’aawiyyah (رضى الله عنه و أرضاه) . So the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said (( Bring her to me )). So she came, and the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) asked her:
(( Where is Allaah? )) Detailed or not?
[brothers answer: detailed].

Do you notice the Prophetic methodology?! (( Where is Allaah? )) So she said: “Above the Heavens.” This is the Prophetic methodology! This, this is the prophetic methodology! There must be tafseel (detail)!

A person comes to me and I say ‘Come, the question (from me to you) is clear. What is your position towards Jam’iyyah Ihyaa’ at-Turaath? What is your position towards Jam’iyyah Ihyaa’ at-Turaath?!’ If he says to you, ‘O akhee, what kind of questions are these?’ Know that there is something inside him! You see?

Here – (and) of course there are people who have eaten barseem (been affected by wealth and sustenance), just as one of the Salaf said – the Kullaabiyyah in that time had position and status - so that Imaam would not narrate hadeeth to the children until he tested them. So he would say: ‘Say: “O Allaah! I free myself (before you) from the Kullaabiyyah.”’ He would not narrate hadeeth to the student until he would say that phrase. ‘O Allaah! I free myself before you from the Kullaabiyyah.’ So a student said: ‘O Shaykh! My father won’t give me sustenance (‘aysh)’ – meaning barseem. So the teacher laughed. The Shaykh laughed. [5]

This path is not easy. In this path is ghurbah (Strangeness), the Prophet -صلى الله عليه و سلم - says. And for this the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) described these people with his statement – look!
(( Those who rectify what the people have corrupted )) – from what? From my Sunnah al-Mufassilah (my detailed Sunnah)! ((Those who rectify what the people have corrupted from my Sunnah )).

This, this is the risaalah (message). This, this is the risaalah – that we rectify what the turaathee has corrupted from the Sunnah of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم),that we rectify what the ikhwaanee has corrupted from the Sunnah of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم), that we rectify what the juhaymaanee has corrupted from the Sunnah of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم), that we rectify what Salmaan al-‘Awdah has corrupted from the Sunnah of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم). This is the manhaj al-Mufassal (the detailed methodology) in this time.

And I say this (what I have said), and I ask forgiveness from Allaah for myself and you.”

[1] Meaning: all of these affairs are things which are general and are not a proof for a person being upon the Haqq. That a person speaks against the takfeerees or defends the Muslim rulers by itself is not a proof for him. You'll find the callers to the Jamaa'aatus-Siyyaasiyyah also speak about these matters. So this is something mujmal (general).

Today everyone today speaks about talabul-'Ilm (seeking knowledge) - Safar and Salmaan, Turaath, Ikhwaanul-Musilmeen, Tableegh - all of them speak about the same thing - the importance of seeking knowledge. All of them recommend the students to read the books of Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah and Shaykh Muhammad bin 'Abdul-Wahhaab. So these are Mujmalaat!

That a person has written behind his name "Graduate of the Islaamic University of Madeenah" is mujmal. Without tafseel it means nothing. 'Abdur-Rahmaan bin 'Abdul-Khaaliq graduated from Madeenah, the one who speaks with Tawheed al-Haakimiyyah, attacks the 'Ulamaa' of Ahlus-Sunnah and makes takfeer of the Muslim rulers. So is his graduating from Madeenah a proof for him?

The individual that the Shaykh al-'Anjaree mentions in his lecture- a graduate and teacher in Madeenah. So does that mean that he is upon the Haqq? Does that mean that he is a person who gives the people Furqaan and clarity?

Rather, the Salafee looks at the tafseel (the detail)! Who does he sit with? What does he teach the people? Does he clarify Haqq from baatil for the people, or is he someone who cheats them by giving them mujmalaat and affairs that everyone speaks about?  Sufyaan ath-Thawree entered al-Basrah and was asked about ar-Rabee bin Sabeeh.  So he asked, "What is his mathhab?" The people said, "He has no mathhab other than the Sunnah." Sufyaan asked, "Who are his friends [i.e. who does he sit with and take as companions]?"  They said, "The people (who deny) al-Qadr."  Sufyaan said, "Then he is qadaree!" [al-Ibaanah (#421)]

So we look to the detail, not the generalities.

How many people have we seen who have studied in Yemen, Sa'oodiyyah, or somewhere else, or studied under this Shaykh or that one, yet they don't give the people Furqaan?! The Prophet of Allaah (صلى الله عليه و سلم) was sent with Furqaan, with al-Mufassal (detailed, specific matters). Is that what we see them giving the people? Or are they cheating the people?
When you ask them about ahlul-bid'ah, do they say "next question, please", "ask questions that will benefit everyone", or "how much Qur'aan have you memorized"? Or do they make the Haqq clear from baatil as was the manhaj of our Righteous Salaf? This is a very important matter that the Shaykh has clarified numerous times and continues to clarify due to it's importance.  [TN]

[2] The distinction between Truth and falsehood. Allaah said: “If you have believed in Allaah and in that which We sent down to Our slave (Muhammad) on the Day of Furqaan, the Day when the two forces met…” [8:41] al-Imaam Ibn Jareer at-Tabaree said: “Ibn ‘Abbaas said about His saying (in this aayah), “the Day of Furqaan”: ‘He means by Furqaan, the Day of Badr. In it Allaah differentiated and separated between Truth and falsehood.” See the Shaykh’s article “The Light of Furqaan” for more on this issue. [TN]

[3] Meaning the various sciences of the Sharee’ah [TN]
[4] Ja'd bin Dirhaam.
And here the Shaykh means,  as he explained in one of his Sharhus-Sunnah duroos, that what this means is that you find people who, when the Salafee, the Atharee who gives the people Furqaan and clarity and speaks about ahlul-bid'ah, some will come and say 'but you don't know! Maybe Allaah has forgiven him. Maybe Allaah will enter him into Jannah' and the like of this, to cause the Atharee to doubt and abandon clarifying Haqq from baatil to the people. So when the Atharee refutes the people of innovation, they make statements such as these to cause doubts in the people and to stop Ahlus-Sunnah from warning against the people of desires and innovation.  So this statement means: 'Why do you speak against Ja'd? You don't know! Maybe Ja'd has a place reserved for him in Jannah, and you are speaking against him?!' [TN]
