ash-Shaykh Ahmad as-Subay'ee - hafithahullaah - said:
"And from here comes the many legislative proofs that warn against the
asloob (style, way, or manner) of ahlul-baatil, and that they use terms,
ways, and structures (in their speech) that they intend by way of them
to have an effect and influence upon the listener to accept what they
say and what they claim, even if it opposes the legislated evidence, to
the extent that the Prophet - Sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam - dishonored
the way of ahlul-baatil and compared their manners in their words with
the most ugly and despicable of comparisons, so he said - sallallaahu
'alayhi wasallam -:
(( "Verily from speech is (that which is) sihr (magic)" ))
And that is because of what occurs due to changing the true intended
meanings (of the words), so he effects the people with baatil."
